The Center for Minority Business Development (CMBD) at Prince George’s Community College invites you to join your peers, colleagues, and business partners for the 2012 Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Procurement and
Business Development Conference on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Camelot by Martins in Upper Marlboro, MD.

This pioneering event will bring procurement decision makers together with minority business leaders to collaborate on strategies for strengthening MBE programs to help increase the workforce through stronger businesses and jobs.
If you are a MBE or responsible for MBE programs this is a groundbreaking event you don’t want to miss!

Prince George’s Community College established the CMBD in 2009 through a $5 million grant from the Peterson Companies to increase the number of minority business enterprises and strengthen their ability to compete in Prince
George’s County. Since our inception we have stayed true to our mission; working with local minority businesses to expand their capabilities, business opportunities, andknowledge about the industry and taking their business to the
next level.

The MBE Procurement and Business Development Conference is action oriented. This one-day conference will provide each attendee with an opportunity to collaborate with decision makers; learnabout upcoming business opportunities, and share best practices. The day will begin with two roundtable discussions – MBE Procurement Roundtable and MBE Business Development Roundtable. The roundtables will allow the MBE community to dialogue and define the challenges procurement and MBEs face with improving MBE programs. At the end of the morning roundtable discussions attendees will enjoy a variety of skill building workshops and networking opportunities. The conference will conclude with a combined roundtable discussion that focuses on lessons learned and a roadmap for continued success.

Register for the conference by January 31, 2012 and save on your registration fee. Please share this opportunity with other key players in the MBE community to take advantage of this opportunity to meet new qualified MBEs and
identify new business opportunities.
